Setup

On your boat in five minutes

STEP 01

Clip to your battery

The fused lead connects straight to your leisure or engine battery. No tools beyond a spanner.

STEP 02

Place the probe

Run the temperature probe to the engine bay, battery box or cabin — wherever you want eyes.

STEP 03

Scan the QR code

Open the ElecBot app and scan the code on the unit. It pairs to your boat automatically.

STEP 04

Walk away

Live readings on your phone, alarms by email and in-app — even mid-mooring, mid-winter.

Asking ElecBot how to set up the Pulse — step by step pairing walkthrough
Stuck? Just ask

The AI talks you through the whole install

You don't need an installer or a manual. Ask ElecBot how to set up your Pulse and it walks you through every step — fitting and powering the unit, opening the live monitor, and pairing it by scanning the QR code or entering the device ID.

It already knows your boat, so the answers fit your actual setup. Ask it anything, at any point.

You're in control

Your boat, your rules — nothing's preset

The Pulse is yours to set up and run. Fit it, pair it, and decide exactly what you want to be warned about. No installer visit, no locked-down settings.

Set your own alarm levels

You choose the thresholds. Decide the low and high voltage that matters for your battery bank, and the temperatures that should trigger a warning. Change them any time from the app — nothing is fixed at the factory.

Alerts to your inbox

Enter your own email address and the alerts come straight to you — wherever you are. The moment a threshold is crossed, your boat moves out of its geofence, or the unit drops offline, you'll know.

Share with people you trust

One Pulse doesn't mean one pair of eyes. Add family, a co-owner, your skipper or the marina office so more than one app can watch the same boat at once — everyone sees the same live data and gets the alerts.

From fitting it to setting it up, the Pulse is designed to be owner-friendly — you're never waiting on anyone else to change a setting or add a person. It's your boat, and it stays in your hands.

See it live

This is what you'll see

The Pulse reports straight into the ElecBot app — your boat's vitals and your alarm setup, live on your phone.

Battery voltage and state of charge shown inside a boat graphic, a thermometer with your own alarm lines, and position on tap. One glance and you know your boat's fine.

Set your own high and low temperature limits and voltage points, and add whoever should be told. Everyone you add is emailed the moment something crosses the line.

Make Pulse yours — custom switching

Pulse doesn't just watch your boat. It can act. Alongside the standard battery, temperature and GPS monitoring, we can build your Pulse with remote switching tailored to exactly what you need — controlled from anywhere, straight from the app.

Marine
  • Bilge pump controlTrigger your bilge pump remotely — or automatically on a high-water alert.
  • Remote lightingSwitch on anchor, deck or cabin lights from your phone.
  • Ignition disableImmobilise your engine remotely — real peace of mind against theft.
Campervan
  • Remote lightingLights on before you get back to the van.
  • MaxxFan controlKeep the van cool — and pets safe — from wherever you are.
  • Charger controlSwitch your battery charger on remotely, so you always leave with a full battery.

Designed and built by a marine electrical engineer

Not a call centre, not an off-the-shelf module. Tell us what you want to switch and we'll spec, build and configure a Pulse for your exact setup. If it's not on the list, ask — if it can be switched, Pulse can probably switch it.

Custom Pulse units are built to order and priced individually. Switching functions should be fitted by a competent installer.

Pulse FAQ

Do I need WiFi on my boat?
No. The Pulse has 4G built in with its own SIM, and ten years of data is included. If your phone gets signal at the mooring, your Pulse will too.
What does the £9/month cover?
One subscription for everything: live Pulse monitoring, all alarms and email alerts, plus the Boat Owner tier of the ElecBot app with AI fault diagnosis. No other network fees or contracts.
What if I stop subscribing?
Your Pulse and your data stay safe, but live monitoring and alerts pause until you resubscribe. Pick up where you left off any time — no penalty, no re-pairing.
Are the alarms preset, or can I choose them?
They're entirely yours to set. You choose your own low and high voltage levels and your own high and low temperature limits, and you can change them any time from the app. Nothing is fixed at the factory.
Where do the alerts go?
To whatever email address you enter — plus in-app. Set it to the inbox you actually check and you'll hear the moment a threshold is crossed, the boat leaves its geofence, or the unit goes offline.
Can more than one person watch the same boat?
Yes. Invite family, a co-owner, your skipper or the marina office and multiple apps can view the same Pulse at once — everyone sees the same live data and receives the alerts.
Can I monitor more than one battery or boat?
Yes — add extra Pulse units to the same account for a small monthly add-on per device. Yards and fleets should ask about Control Centre pricing.
Can Pulse switch things on, not just monitor?
Yes — as a custom build. We can spec a Pulse with remote switching for bilge pumps, lighting, chargers, ignition disable and more, controlled from the app. Custom units are built to order and priced individually; switching functions should be fitted by a competent installer.
Is it hard to fit?
If you can change a battery, you can fit a Pulse. The fused lead connects to the battery terminals, the probe goes wherever you want to measure, and the app pairs by scanning the QR code on the unit — you set it all up yourself, no installer needed.
